Great service and fabulous food. You can't beat their food anywhere in Lynchburg. Even when you call in an order for Pickup they are fast. I wish they would join DoorDash.!! We need it.

I read in some review that the food at King's Island surpasses typical Asian food restaurants. My taste buds say "Yes, join that chorus!" My Szechuan chicken and vegetables as a lunch special was exceptional for the tenderness and flavor of everything on my plate. I'll be back.

five stars all the way!! what i love about King's Island is there consistency, service, and delicious food. we come here about once a week for lunch, and it never disappoints. sometimes the wait can be longer bc it's always packed, but the food never disappoints! a few dishes i'd recommend are the sesame chicken, the mooshu pork, the wonton soup, and the sumo roll. all flavorful and expertly cooked in their own right. i will also say, their egg roll is absolutely the best i've ever had and i'm reminded of that EVERY time. the ambiance is also great--very clean inside and also traditional to what one would expect from a Chinese restaurant. they're also very efficient for lunch and get you on your way back to the office when needed. love this place and their food so much!

WOW. That's King's Island in a nutshell. I've been here many times now. And I haven't been disappointed yet. I don't usually write super generous reviews because Im super, super picky. And mediocre places sometimes just don't get a review from me at all....but.... King's Island is by far the best sushi restaurant I have personally ever been to yet. I haven't had a bad roll. Every time I come in here I try to have something new, and every single roll I have tried has been delicious. What I have noticed is that they use crab meat when they are supposed to. A lot of other places will substitute with salmon. And the price is not bad! I actually think they're pretty cheap for what you get. On average it seems to run about $8 a roll, some more and some less. Even the Alaskan crab roll was only $8, and it was delicious. And big enough for me to eat as an entree if I had wanted to. But I'm gonna be honest, we ate like pigs. We ordered 4 rolls and an entree. The food only came to $52 and we left a $10 tip: that's for 2 people, one of them a 6'2" guy who can really put it away. Buffets tremble In fear when he is near lol The quality of the sushi is delicious. The shrimp tempura roll is SO good. There isn't a bad roll on the menu. We came when it was super packed, we could barely get in the door. This place really draws a crowd. The waitress was a little overwhelmed but I think she did great despite being split between so many tables. The effort was there even if not everything was perfect. She did pretty good and if it had been less crowded the service would have been stellar. The restaurant is a little older? They could renovate a bit. Wouldn't hurt. But it was beautiful inside, even still. We had little oil lamps at the table for ambience. It was cute. Biggest point- the food. Not a bad thing on the menue. Whoever said they haven't had a good meal there in 3 years needs to go to the doctor and get checked out cause something is wrong with them, not the food. Quality is 100% on point. Absolutely freaking delicious. We love you King's Island!

It doesn't look like much on the outside but walking inside it feels like an upscale Chinese restaurant from NOVA. This place reeks of traditional Chinese American sit down dining. The color red is everywhere, the menu has like 80 more items than you can read, and the service is oddly fast. I came here like 35 minutes before closing and they got me my food and out of their establishment in a timely manner. Absolutely nuts. The food was pretty good too! The mu shu pork I got wasn't watery or tasteless. It tasted pretty generic and the wrappers tasted suspiciously like tortillas but the plating, service, and efficiency that it was given to me was worth the price of admission. Would totally come back to this place if it was closer to Liberty. Sadly it's effectively in the middle of nowhere. Even in Lynchburg.
